Refund Policy

This policy describes when refunds are available for Quizcade purchases. All billing is processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and we aim to respond within 3 business days. Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction, including statutory cooling-off or withdrawal periods.

1. Subscriptions

Quizcade subscriptions (Pro and Business, billed monthly or annually) may be cancelled at any time through the billing portal accessible from your account dashboard.

  • Upon cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. You will not be charged again after that date.
  • We do not issue prorated refunds for mid-period cancellations — you retain access to your paid tier features until the period ends.
  • Annual subscriptions are treated the same way: cancellation stops future renewals, but the remaining months of the current annual period are not refunded.

If you believe you were charged in error (e.g., a duplicate charge or a charge after confirmed cancellation), contact us within 7 days and we will investigate and issue a refund if the charge was in error.

2. Event Passes

Event passes (Game Night at $9; Corporate at $49) are one-time purchases granting 48 hours of enhanced access from the moment of activation.

  • Once activated, event passes are non-refundable. Activation begins the 48-hour window and is considered consumption of the service.
  • If not yet activated — if you purchased a pass but have not activated it — you may contact us at tsuf.barkai@gmail.com within 24 hours of purchase to request a full refund.

3. AI Credits

AI credit packs (10 credits for $5; 25 credits for $10) are non-refundable once purchased. Credits are added to your account balance immediately upon payment confirmation and persist indefinitely — they do not expire.

Credits granted as part of a subscription or event pass are not separately refundable and are covered by the respective subscription or pass refund terms above.

4. Exceptions

We understand that technical issues happen. If a verifiable technical failure on our end (e.g., a server outage, a billing system error, or a platform bug) prevented you from using a paid feature or service you were entitled to, please contact us within 7 days of the incident. We will review the situation and, where appropriate, issue a full or partial refund or extend your access period at our discretion.

Exceptions do not apply to issues caused by your own internet connection, device incompatibility, or user error.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email us at tsuf.barkai@gmail.com with the following details:

  • The email address associated with your Quizcade account.
  • The Paddle order or transaction ID (found in your purchase confirmation email).
  • The item purchased (subscription plan, event pass type, or credit pack).
  • The reason for your refund request.

We aim to respond within 3 business days. If a refund is approved, Paddle handles the actual refund processing; the timeline for funds to appear in your account depends on your bank or card issuer (typically 5–10 business days).

6. Paddle as Merchant of Record

All Quizcade purchases are billed by Paddle.com Market Limited, which acts as the Merchant of Record. This means Paddle is the seller of record for all transactions, handles tax compliance, and processes all payments and refunds on our behalf.

In addition to contacting us directly, you may submit refund requests to Paddle support at paddle.com. Paddle's own refund policies may apply alongside this policy, and Paddle has the authority to process refunds independently of our review in certain circumstances (e.g., chargebacks, consumer protection requirements in your jurisdiction).
